The Terms and Conditions described below and in the links shared constitute a legal agreement ("Agreement" or "ChatFood Payments powered by checkout.com terms") between you, if your business is a sole proprietorship, or your business, if you are signing up on behalf of a corporation or other legal entity (the "Merchant", "you" or "your") and ChatLab LLC, organized under the laws of Sharjah, UAE with offices at Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, UAE ("ChatFood", "Chatlab", "we", "us", or "our").


ChatFood Payments powered by checkout.com is the simplest way to accept payments online for your restaurant. It eliminates the hassle of setting up a third-party payment provider or merchant account and having to manage it directly.


We have already done that hard work and negotiated straightforward rates for you with checkout.com, the most secured and leading worldwide payment gateway used by top e-commerce brands, like Deliveroo, Zomato, Careem, Pizza Hut, etc.


With ChatFood Payments, you're automatically ready to accept all major payment methods as soon as you create your ChatFood online store.

Outside of United Arab Emirates: 3.5% per transaction excluding taxes

There are no setup fees for ChatFood Payments powered by checkout.com.

The total fees for each payout and pending transactions can be found in the Tax Invoice you receive by email every month. You can request this information at any time by sending an email to finance@chatfood.io


Bank account requirements for ChatFood payment powered by checkout.com

Ensure that your bank account meets the following requirements before you connect it to ChatFood Payments.

To raise your invoices and transfer your funds from online paid orders, we need some account information. Please fill out this form.

The account is a full checking account or a current account in one of the supported countries, and it accepts electronic bank transfers.

⚠️ ChatFood Payments does not support savings accounts, flex-currency accounts, virtual accounts, and money-transferring services that mimic bank accounts.

Checking accounts set up to accept only wire transfers don't work with ChatFood Payments. To confirm that your account can get the transfer type listed for your region, contact your bank.


Setting up ChatFood Payments

The currency of your account is automatically assigned based on your choice of country during your account setup. This is the currency you price your products in, which is also used in your menu and reports. If you need to change the currency after your first sale, contact the ChatFood Support team (support@chatfood.io) to change your business currency.

Steps to activate:

1. From your ChatFood dashboard, go to Outlets > select the outlet > select the ordering mode > Payment methods

2. Click on the box Card online. By doing it, you agree with ChatFood Payments powered by checkout.com Terms and Conditions

3. Enter the required details about your banking information.

Managing chargebacks and inquiries

When you get a chargeback or inquiry on an order made with ChatFood Payments, we will inform you and request some evidence to send to the credit card company before the due date. You can send evidence to finance@chatfood.io. After the evidence is submitted, the chargeback or inquiry is resolved within 120 days.

The cardholder's bank decides chargebacks. ChatFood is not able to influence or revert this decision. If you're using ChatFood Payments and issued a chargeback, the amount will be deducted from your next available payout. You can refer to our section about chargebacks for more information.
